Install Cinelerra on Ubuntu 12.04

Install Cinelerra on Ubuntu 12.04
If you need are video editors for Ubuntu, from simple OpenShot, through Kino (handy if you want to capture video from a video camera) or even to create videos FFDiaporama through images.
All these video editing programs for Ubuntu are fine. They are very simple to use as well as useful. Swiss does not have as many options as some proprietary programs for Windows, but certainly more than a pinch we can get.
Cinelerra to give us an idea, performs the same function as Gimp but video editing. Like Gimp, Cinelerra is an impressive program, with lots of options, but rather difficult to use. Furthermore Cinelerra interface is not the most pleasant.

For the most demanding video editing, I recommend Cinelerra. Cinelerra does almost everything, but of course, you have to know how to do as it is quite complicated by the multitude of options.
Cinelerra is within themselves Ubuntu repositories, so you can install it easily from the Ubuntu Software Center, or by opening the terminal and typing the following command:

sudo apt-get install cinelerra

The official website of this project is this. If you are very interested in video editing, you could do some basic tutorials on how to manage Cinelerra. Good Luck
