Variety is a wallpaper changer that we wrote about few months ago. It changes your desktop background automatically or on-demand based on your preferences. It can download images from Flickr, Wallpaper.net and NASA Astronomy Picture of the day.
In version 0.4.10, it features support for Media RSS Feeds, Word Sunlight Map, simplified menu and others.To view a complete release notes on this, please click here.
To get started, press Ctrl – Alt – T on your keyboard to open the terminal. When it opens, run the commands below to add its PPA.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:peterlevi/ppa
Finally, run the commands below to update your system and install Variety
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install variety
