How to Install VirtualBox 4.2.28 on Ubuntu 12.04 / 14.04 / 14.10

How to Install VirtualBox 4.2.28 on Ubuntu 12.04 / 14.04 / 14.10

Open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and type the following commands :

echo "deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian $(lsb_release -sc) contrib" |sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/virtualbox.list wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -

Then update the instalation packet with the following command :
sudo apt-get update

Finally, start the installation of  virtualbox 4.2.28 with the following commands:

sudo apt-get install virtualbox-4.2
